The World's Most Important and Simple Mathematics

 Simple English Gematria (also known as Ordinal Gematria):

A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4, E=5, F=6, G=7, H=8, I=9

J=10, K=11, L=12, M=13, N=14, O=15, P=16, Q=17, R=18

S=19, T=20, U=21, V=22, W=23, X=24, Y=25, Z=26

Using Simple English Gematria, notice each of the words in the
cipher name equate to 74.

Simple = 19+9+13+16+12+5 = 74
English = 5+14+7+12+9+19+8 = 74
Gematria = 7+5+13+1+20+18+9+1 = 74

Gematria is about pairing words together that have matching
numerical values and logical relationships. For example, notice how
‘Jesus’, ‘Messiah’, ‘Gospel’ ‘parables’ and ‘cross’ each equate to 74 as
well, a very special number as we will come to understand. If you are
not familiar with the Gospel, it is the story of Jesus, and when Jesus
speaks within it, he does so in parables.

Jesus = 10+5+19+21+19 = 74
Messiah = 13+5+19+19+9+1+8 = 74
Gospel = 7+15+19+16+5+12 = 74
Parables = 16+1+18+1+2+12+5+19 = 74
Cross = 3+18+15+19+19 = 74

This is only the base cipher – there is also
[Reverse Ordinal],
[Full Reduction]
[Reverse Full Reduction]
and more…

Geography Trivia Game (Google Slide)

in the 4 weeks of preparing for the Passion Project, 3 of us decided to make a Geography Trivia that the teachers or viewers can play anytime they want to access it in our blogs. It is a straightforward game with 14 or 15 questions on it. We didn't really plan on what we're doing at first, we just had an idea and did it right away, the first plan was supposed to be the "PPP" slide where it has 187 countries in it and making the rules which are asking people questions and pointing it to the map and asking their significance by the continent or countries that have chosen, we were about to make a map until we found out that it wasn't gonna be as we thought how the passion project was gonna work out because we thought people were gonna walk around on other wananga's. So I made this instead. I said I. After all, I'm the only one who did it, which took me 3 hours to make cause I had to research how to do it, And so I only had 2 and a half hours of sleep. Because the other 2 people in my group were too lazy even though they knew how to do it. So this is a night of work for me

My Kind of Boring Rick and Morty Episode

In 1997, a scientist named Rick Sanchez was promoted to a higher rank, He built and made stuff for a living, and when there’s something he doesn’t want in the world, he fixes it. Rick is a very complicated person, he goes on adventures throughout the galaxy using his space-ship and portal gun, with his grandson Morty, one time Morty ask rick if he could decide where to go on today’s adventure although rick is always the one who decides where to go to an adventure so rick declines Morty’s request, Speaking of Morty made a bargain that He would do the cleaning on the garage if he would let him decide where to go to an adventure for once a week, Rick as his tongue wagging talking about it would be a Boring old school adventure, but it was a must for him because he can’t bother doing the cleaning in his garage so he accepted Morty’s request. So they went throughout the galaxy for Morty’s classic adventure, which was a boring one, Morty spotted a potential place for his adventure it was a planet where people are still at the medieval time, a poor village where its King is corrupt and hunger for money, unironically the people still trust him because the people have no idea that their ruler is corrupt. That’s when Rick and Morty think of something to fix the problem, they went out to the wilderness where the king spends his time doing some stupid things like building a relaxing house or store his basement with food, Rick in Morty slam in the door and spotted the King doing ritual potions, the king threw the potion at them, “you will pay for what you’ve done to the village” - Morty. Rick then grabs his gun and blasts the king leaving nothing left instead of dust and ashes. Rick and Morty grab everything they could, Gold, food, and evidence. They blew the Kings’ house and ritual potions, went back to the village to distribute the money and food, and explained what kind of a king they had with the evidence. The End

Real life Stories

Creuza Oliveira, a domestic worker in Brazil

Creuza Oliveira, the voice of domestic workers - Celebrate Potential Kenya

Oliveira began her life as a domestic worker in Bahia when she was employed at the age of 10. Unable to balance her work and school because she had to pick work and dropped out of school numerous times, when Oliveira was at work she would be beaten and taunted whenever she broke something, and she is often called lazy, monkey, even "nigger" in the household where she worked. At the age of 14, her employers took her to Sao Paulo to work without authorization from her relatives in Bahia.

She quoted "I only started to receive salary as a domestic worker when I was 21, until that age, my payment was in used clothes and food. I did not have the right to vacations or any basic workers' rights." she said.  Oliveira told a gathering on the sidelines of the Durban Review Conference at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva. "Almost half a million domestic workers in Brazil are children and teenagers between 5 and 17 years of age – working without compensation, like slaves."

in 1971 Khalid Hussain lives in Geneva camp, One of the largest camps in Bangladesh set up by the International Committee of the Red Cross, named after the organization's Swiss headquarters Geneva camp, and it is home to around 25 thousand people who live in houses measuring on average 13 square meters which accommodate 5 to 8 people. For the entire camp, there are 250 public toilets.

Hussain describes the Urdu-speaking Biharis as the most disadvantaged group in Bangladesh since they are not recognized as citizens in the country they regard as their home. Hussain brought the story to the Biharis to the special event, he told his audience that "since 1971, more than three hundred thousand Bihari people have been living in makeshift camps all over Bangladesh.

Scores of wildfires in western US rage on

 Scores of wildfires continued to burn through the Western United States over the weekend. Video obtained by Reuters showed the Tamarack Fire ripping through a forest in Nevada on Saturday, after it spilled over from California. Local authorities say about four percent of it has been contained. The National Weather Service posted red-flag warnings in parts of Oregon, Montana and Idaho as fires raged across the three states. The fires have generated so much smoke that it turned the full moon orange on Friday evening, which could be seen as far as Washington D.C, after winds carried the smoke eastward. Officials over the weekend said that the amount of smoke being created has actually helped ground crews of more than 2,000 people battle the so-called Bootleg Fire in Portland, Oregon. It's the largest by far of more than 80 active wildfires burning in 13 states. Officials said that a "smoke shade" from California's fires is blocking sunlight, which in turn is creating cooler, more stable surface conditions in Oregon. The Bootleg Fire has so far burned through more than 400,000 acres of brush and timber - over half the size of Rhode Island. It's now the state's third largest wildfire on record since 1900. While the fire's spread has slowed in recent days, officials also reported that ground crews are battling an outbreak of Covid-19, with at least nine firefighters quarantined so far.

Thoughts after I left my Country

When I came to New Zealand a few minutes before I went out at the airport my first thoughts were What the weather will be like, I was guessing 70% colder than my air con conditioner back in my country haha, at the first step outside the airport I felt the coldness in the weather’s air even though it was like a normal day, But I was pretty much amazed by it because a normal day In my country was a hot sunny day there’s no snow or anything it was just a sunny day, storm or a sunny day(with or without) clouds,
--I've never seen a lightning storm here in New Zealand too--. After that experience I had 2 weeks before I’ll start going to school, those 2 weeks I was pretty much just hanging out like, exploring the house, or walking around outside and there was this one time where I wanted to cross the road but I didn’t know what to do or how the traffic lights work( i didn't know how the traffic lights work because I've never lived in a city before I've lived on a province in which there's a 3 hours drive to get to the city. I had doubts on clicking that crossing button but I didn’t click it, Weeks later The my first day of school was a pretty nervous feeling, like I didn’t know anyone or what to expect because this school was very diverse than what school was like in my country Anyways, I was walking with the teacher to where my class is, and when we came the teacher introduced me to my new classmates and luckily I met Daniel, the only Filipino student in my class and now there’s two of us and he speaks Filipino, not just English, Daniel was the first guy I met in school and at Interval he introduced me to some other Filipinos as well and I was pretty lucky because without them it would’ve been hard for me to get laid in the culture / to understand things here that I didn’t understand, Daniel Introduced me to Rojan, Shawn, Brielle, and Ian. and that was pretty much It.

Critical Literacy from week 1

Book:

ANCIENT GREECE

* What is the text about, How do we know?

   Romans used to brush their teeth with urine. Ancient Romans used to use both human and animal urine as a mouthwash in order to whiten their teeth. The thing is, it actually works, it's just gross. Our urine contains ammonia, a compound of nitrogen and hydrogen, that is capable of acting as a cleansing agent.

* What do the images suggest?

File:Temple of Athena at Paestum.jpg - Wikipedia

   Greek Temples. The Temple of Ceres was built in the sixth-century b.c in the Doric style and known as the temple of Athena and later used as a Christian church. For hundreds of years, people visited the site of Paestum because it was hidden by swamps and undergrowth, which accounts for the remarkable survival of the buildings.

Desperado

Desperado

The Album had an old West theme.

A nutritious group of outlaws "Desperado" was a touchstone in bringing this kind of song. On the surface of this song is about a cowboy who refuses to fall in love, but could also be about a young man who discovers guitars, joins a band, pays his dues, and suffers for his art.

Reflection on Athletics day

 Friday, 4 March 2021

Athletics day on Hornby is a whole school event, held on the school field, where all students are required to do either social or competitive because it's compulsory.

On The day. The more events you do the more points you'll get for our whanau, Goal is to at least complete 5 events, 2 of which should be competitive. On athletics, day students did different kinds of sports. As a social, I did a 60m sprint with other social competitive. There are many different things I did that I forgot to remember.

Almost 300 schoolgirls kidnapped in Nigeria are free

Almost 300 schoolgirls kidnapped in Nigeria are free, says state governor.

Government officials had been in talks with kidnappers after third school attack in less than three months

Authorities initially said 317 girls were abducted in the raid by hundreds of gunmen at the Government Girls secondary school in the remote Jangebe village on Wednesday, March 5, 2021.
Matawelle said the total number of female students abduct was 279. "We thank Allah they are all now with us," he said on Tuesday, March 2, 2021

Government officials had been in talks with the kidnappers, known as bandits, after Nigeria’s third school attack in less than three months.

Heavily armed criminal gangs in the north-west and central Nigeria have stepped up attacks in recent years, kidnapping for ransom, raping and pillaging, exploiting a lack of rural security.

Last week, unidentified gunmen killed a student in an overnight attack on a boarding school in the north-central Nigerian state of Niger and kidnapped 42 people, including 27 students. The hostages are yet to be released.

In December, more than 300 boys were kidnapped from a school in Kankara, in President Muhammadu Buhari’s home state of Katsina, while he was visiting the region.

State officials in Zamfara, like in other states besieged by bandit violence, have previously signed controversial “peace agreements”, offering money and amnesties with some of the many bandit groups that have terrorized much of north and central Nigeria in recent years.

Black Caps vs Australia Martin Guptill blasts world six-hitting record in return to form

 Black Caps vs Australia: Martin Guptill blasts world six-hitting record in return to form

The 34-year-old arrived in Dunedin amid a run drought, having scored naught in the series opener in Christchurch and not passed 50 in T20 internationals since November 2019, against England in Auckland. This was his 12th innings since in the format.

Martin Guptill salutes the Dunedin crowd after his knock of 97.

It launched Guptill to the top of T20 international's six-hitting list, passing India’s Rohit Sharma’s tally of 127 from 108 matches. In his 96th match, Guptill moved to 132 sixes.

Critical Literacy

Greta Thunberg

For the week I’ve started reading A Book called Greta Thunberg, it’s about a girl in Sweden who gets famous for her doings. When The Guardian published an article called” The Swedish 15-year-old who’s cutting class to fight the climate crisis “ until then in just weeks she’d gain many followers in Sweden she has movies and books and she has emerged as a role model to those on the spectrum and has educated others on what autism can look like. When she was 15 it all began when she entered a climate writing competition for the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet earlier in the year. When her essay “We know -- and we can do something now” was announced as one of the winning entries she was angry at that time of realization on what the world is going through about climate change. The summer had been Sweden’s hottest since records began over two hundred and sixty years ago. The world was warming at an alarming rate. The planet was suffering the drastic effects of climate change at a volume far greater than before. The Reason Why I’m reading this book is that it’s interesting I knew Greta Thunberg only through memes.

321 RIQ

3 Recalls
- What I remember about the lesson is Miss teaching us what 321 RIQ
- Miss teaching us why the 321 RIQ is a beneficial strategy of reflection
- Miss is making us use 321 RIQ instead of our old ways of blogging

2 Insights
- things that I learned this lesson is that the 321 RIQ strategy is better than what we did before which is when we blog we used to just type whatever comes to our mind
- 321 RIQ means 3 Recalls on what you remember about the lesson 2 Insights on new things that you learned today and 1 Question about what you didn't understand or still want to know more about

1 Question
- I don't have a question
