Book:
ANCIENT GREECE
* What is the text about, How do we know?
Romans used to brush their teeth with urine. Ancient Romans used to use both human and animal urine as a mouthwash in order to whiten their teeth. The thing is, it actually works, it's just gross. Our urine contains ammonia, a compound of nitrogen and hydrogen, that is capable of acting as a cleansing agent.
* What do the images suggest?

Greek Temples. The Temple of Ceres was built in the sixth-century b.c in the Doric style and known as the temple of Athena and later used as a Christian church. For hundreds of years, people visited the site of Paestum because it was hidden by swamps and undergrowth, which accounts for the remarkable survival of the buildings.
