Tsunamis and waves are both water waves. they are a mode of energy transfer and can be described by their wavelength, speed, Frequency, period, amlitude (height), and energy. As waves behave they can be reflected and two waves can interfere with each other.
Tsunamis have more energy than surf wave, so they last for longer and are much faster. The shape of the two waves is also completely different.
